Education to Become a Trained Heating Ventilation and Air Conditioning Mechanic

The educational requirement varies from state to state and sometimes from county to county when it comes to getting your trade licensure. Each state in the union has different requirements and different expectations for their mechanics and technicians. This is why it is extremely important to study at a school that is knowledgeable of the requirements for where you are planning to work.

Programs can range in time from six months to three years. You can take your classes during the day or in the evenings and you also have a choice whether or not you wish to take your classes online or in a classroom. When you are studying you will learn instillation as well as maintenance and repair. Though you will be thoroughly trained in all aspects of the HVAC trade you will be expected to choose a specific area in which you will concentrate.
